I graduated last week, on May 16, 2009. From college. Yep. I did! I have my BA now! Go me!
Now I need a full time.
I guess it's OK, because I'm going get my masters at the University of San Francisco. I'll be attending the Sports Management program starting in January 2010. I'll graduate in December 2011.
Today Wes and I went skydiving. It was so awesome! We had a blast. We couldn't go for his birthday last month because I had a sprained ankle and we were super tired that day. But we made up for it today. It was so crazy but so much fun!
Wes, you are so awesome and I love you so much baby.
Anyways. For an update, he and I will be living together in Reno while he finishes up college. Then moving to California for awhile. Wes has quite a bit of training to do, which is fine so I can finish up my masters. Then we're off to wherever the Marine Corps take us.
But I'm happy.
We came to Roseville for the weekend. We went skydiving today. We saw the movie Earth with Colleen, Brit and Alex.
Tomorrow we're driving to San Francisco (yay!) and going to see the Giants take on the Atlanta Braves (Wesley's favorite team!). Then check out some sites hopefully and back to the real world. Sad.
But as long as I'm with him, it's all OK.

Say it ain't so....
Oh Brad Miller. Why did you have to go? At the end of last season, you were the only one left and now you're gone. We have Bobby, but only because he came back.
I can't believe you are gone.
We were lucky to have you for six seasons, some wonderful, some not.

I win!
I won my fantasy football league, hahahahahahahaha.
I love Drew Brees, mhmm, indeed. Fina. score 89-86.
I clinched the fourth seed in playoffs with a 9-6 record after starting the season off 4-0. I beat the No. 1 seed with a triumphant defeat, 107-78. My final matchup was against the No. 3 seed and earned the three point victory with a valiant effort by Brees, nearly being destroyed by my pathetic Dallas defense.
Go me.
Hahahahahahaha. I win.

Oh school....how I loath thee.
Please hold while I get this out....
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Thank you.
So I woke up at 5:30 this morning. Joy. To study. Then went and took my final at 7:30. It wasn't a big deal, I'm sure I got a high B. But then I get my paper back...and it's a C. My presentation was an A but my paper is a C.
What I hate about being a journalist is you're screwed for everything else. No one likes you writing style. I write the way I have been trained for the last three and a half years to write. It's fine for my J classes but everyone else basically tells me I'm a moron. Longer pargraphs, don't quote like that. You quote to support your evidence, that's given in any type of essay.
Stupid science. I don't know how to write a stupid scientific research paper. That's not in my DNA so take the irony and shove it up your ass science. I did the best I could and she doesn't like my quoting or my paragraphs. She trieds to combine sentences and add extra words -- that's not what I'm trained to do!
I am paid to write. Yet I get a C on my 100 level science paper?
Don't get me started on the other two C's I've earned on papers this semester. In, of all things my journalism class. Why? Because I don't use commas because I have been instructed that commas are evil. So when I wrte my evaluation about commas and other grammar things she didn't like as a portion of the second paper, she takes 10 points off of it and gives me a C. Seriously? What do you want from me then?
There is not a single reason I should not give five A's this semester. Sports journalism - duh. Yet he'll probably fail me. English - she's very odd and I have done well in there but who knows. Holocaust and Genocide? I should get an A...but who knows. He could've decided to grade the paper really hard. Assuming he didn't I need to study and should get an A on the fina Wednesday. Race, Gender and Media? That's the horribly graded class with the two C's. She also likes to hand out a 3.8 out of 5 on ridiculously simple assignments for no reason what so ever. Geography? Well I've ranted about that paper enough I think.
One semester I wanted a 4.0 in classes that I should've easily been able to achieve it in. Best case scenario I'm now looking at 2 A's and 3 B's. Worst case....3 B's and 2 C's. I hope.
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Oh my...
So kickball is awful. It is not a fun sport. Nope. Not at all. Since my soccer team wasn't playing tonight we were able to play kickball with our City team. We won, 12-9 but wow. It mocks soccer and baseball. Why one earth did someone invent it? I'd much rather do the office work for kickball every day of the week than play it.
We do play soccer tomorrow. My sad little team, that went 0-5 in the season is now 2-0 in the postseasn: due to forfeits. Pathetic. So if we win or get a forfeit tomorrow we play in the championship game. Geez.
I got my Halloween costume in the mail today. I'm a little bit skeptical about it but Wes seems to like it and that's really all that matters to me. I really love him, if I haven't said it publicly on my blog lately.
Back to sports:
I don't want to talk about my Red Sox. Yes I did tear up a little bit but I don't want to talk about it.
Except for this: Who is left for me to cheer for? No more Red Sox. The Dallas Cowboys are apparently having a meltdown. I'm in like fifth or sixth place in my fantasy teams so I don't care anymore, now that I'm not undefeated. I started 4-0 and have gone 0-3 since. My hockey team is in fourth place too. And not to mention the Sacramento Kings aren't looking very promising for this season...so thanks Boston for taking away all my hope in the world. I appreciated it. Fantastic.

My god I'm brilliant sometimes...
It's rare but it happens. I have an essay due at 4 today. I hadn't started it until about 30 minutes ago and I have 950 words done. It only needs to be 1250. So a few more quotes, a transition and a closing paragraph and I'm all done.
I've been super busy again, as usual. Once this essay is done school stuff will calm down for a bit. I had my holocaust and genocide midterm Wednesday so that's out of the way. I got an A on my first geography test, so I'm really proud of myself.
Wes left yesterday for drill and I'm going crazy without him -- sad. He's just so much fun to be around.
And in other news:
GO BOSTON!!!!
JD Drew was a bad ass yesterday. Down 7-0 in the seventh and comeback to win 8-7 with a walk off single. Brilliant I say. I look forward to Game six tomorrow. I'll be making a point to watch it of course. My mom and dad are coming to see the Nevada vs. Utah State football game tomorrow so it'll be great to see them.
AND...
My little Kayla is turning 21 today! Happy Birthday!!!!! She is coming up to Reno with her hubby and we're going to gamble tonight I believe. (insert more missing Wes here). Grrr. I love that boy.
Hopefully my Fantasy Football teams will win this week...I'm going to be pretty pissed if I lose again, I think I've lost the last two weeks in a row and that's because my team did well but the two teams I played had phenomenal weeks. (Wes) Gr.
My hockey team looks like it's going to win this week too, so that's good. If that stays the way it is today I should be in first instead of second. Go me. Conquering the world, one fantasy team at a time.
I'm off to finish my essay! I swear, school is making me loopy... by the way, I graduated seven months from yesterday!!!!!!!! Will it be sad if I start the countdown now?

So I'm a slacker....
Wow I've been super busy and not updating at all which is sad I know.
Here's some of my latest articles:
On Thursday, I covered volleyball.
I covered high school football on Friday.
And Saturday what was pretty was that I got to help cover the Nevada football game. I even got to write a side article with it too, it was really pretty cool! I'm proud of myself.
Two of my wonderful friends have their 21st birthdays this week and they're probably coming up here to play with me. Well assuming I have time off which is sometimes a problem. I'm taking a lot of time off in November and December so I'm trying to be good about it now. But I'm very excited to see some of my girlies from back home -- I miss you all!
I especially miss my bunny. It's been hard for me not seeing her everyday. It's been really hard only talking to her once a week, if that. But we're both so incredibly busy it's hard. I love her to death though and I can't wait until I graduate (or have Christmas break) so I can spend some time with her.
I'm not going to talk about sports right now. I'm on sports overload. My brain hurts. I don't want to even talk about the Red Sox or the Cowboys right now...it hurts, oh it hurts.
Same with Fantasy sports. That's a mess too. After Week 1 I'm in second place in my hockey league. My silly boyfriend is some how in first and he knows almost nothing about hockey....he also beat me in our football league this week so I'm supremely bitter.
And now I'm off to play soccer. The indoor version of "Everybody's Scoring Tonight" is 0-5 and tonight is the mandatory playoff games so we should be done soon. However then we move on to kickball. Fantastic.
Goodnight and good luck.
P.S. I love bunnies.
